
In today’s episode, our host, Que-Tran, interviews Mrs. Tran Ngoc Anh who will be sharing her personal story about what happened to her family after the end of the war in Vietnam in 1975.
Mrs. Tran, Ngoc Anh was born in 1955. In 1978, together with her husband, they formed a resistant group, Luc Luong Viet Nam Tu Do, to fight for freedom. In 1979, her husband and her 13-month son were arrested. Her husband was sentenced to execution, while she was sentenced to 14 years in prison. Her 13-month old had to follow her to prison and became the youngest prisoner at that time.
In 1989 she was released. She continued her education and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. In 2007, she re-married and immigrated to the US with her husband. Currently, she resides in California with her husband.
